RIP Ronan .. I have such happy memories of you in Maynooth 1983-86 .. you were always a breath of fresh air in a sometimes stuffy place .. this piece will always remind me of you.
My abiding memory of my first Advent in Maynooth was being awakened at 6am to the sound of (as I thought) an angelic choir giving a heavenly rendition of “Jerusalem”. I genuinely believed I had died, only to later discover this was traditionally performed by the College choir for the unsuspecting first year students!!
Ronan Drury? A legend!!
