Australian Synod (Assembly) voting update…

Last Wednesday, after the bishops voted down the Motion on “Witnessing to the Equal Dignity of Women and Men”, there was a second Consultative and Deliberative vote.

Following a public outcry and protest after the Wednesday debacle, the bishops came back and passed all but one Motion. One delegate stated: “It was a watershed for the Church in Australia.”
