ACP Regional Meetings
The ACP is following up issues raised at the recent AGM on the care and wellbeing of priests with a series of Regional Meetings.
Items on the agenda include priests’ retirement, health supports, salary, general care and supports for priests.
Participants are also invited to raise other issues of interest to themselves or colleagues.
These meetings are open to all priests, not just ACP members. Please invite your colleagues.
All meetings will start at 2.00 p. m.
Please note that a series of public meetings on church reform issues is planned for later in the year.

Congratulations to ACP for scheduling a regional meeting in Armagh. No better venue than the Ó Fiaich Library!
May we hope that, when Regional ACP again dons its more Reform-hued uniform later in the year, the northern venue will be the same?
Like Eddie I am delighted to see that you have chosen the O Fiaich Library in Armagh for your northern meeting. For those who haven’t visited, it is set in the most beautiful location right behind the cathedral. If you have never stood at the front door of our cathedral gazing out at the unchanged view which takes in our sister Church of Ireland cathedral on the opposite hill then I promise, you are in for a treat. The cathedral itself is a stunning sacred space and as you sit in the silence you will join in with all those faithful souls who have ever worshipped there.
I urge you to support each other. This is open to all priests, not just ACP members and it is in your own interest. However much the rest of us may empathise we don’t really know the challenges you face, the long lonely nights, the countless demands on your time and the toll it takes especially on your emotional and mental health. Women are usually very good at opening up to each other and supporting each other so learn from us! I wish the event well and look forward to hearing positive reports.
