Annual General Meeting of ACP

The first Annual General Meeting of the Association of Catholic Priests will take place in the Green Isle Hotel on Tuesday evening, Oct. 4th and Wednesday morning, Oct. 5th.
The Programme is as follows:
Tuesday, Oct 4th:  7.30pm: Address by Kevin Hegarty on Ministry in the Catholic Church.
This will be followed by a presentation to Sean Fagan, to acknowledge his
contribution to Moral Theology, and the renewal of the Church after the Second
Vatican Council.  This presentation will be made by Enda McDonagh.
This meeting will be open to all, lay and clergy.
Wednesday, Oct. 5th:
9.30 – 10.30:
Business meeting of the Association:  Members only
11.00am to 1.00pm: Address by psychotherapist Marie Keenan on
Clerical Sexual Abuse, and problems related to it.  Followed by discussion.
This session will be open to all priests.
Now that our membership has passed the 500 mark, we would be
anxious that as many as possible would attend, to assess our future direction
and priorities.
