Bidding Prayers 25 Dec 2022 (Christmas)

BIDDING PRAYERS for Sunday Mass

Introduction (by the Presider) Let us bring our prayers to God, who has shown his salvation to the nations in the nativity of our Saviour.

  1. That those who mark the birth of Christ today may have new hope (pause for a moment). Lord, hear us
  2. That the people of Ukraine may have the gift of peace (pause for a moment). Lord, hear us.
  3. That migrants may find love and mercy in Europe (pause for a moment). Lord hear us.
  4. That hungry and homeless people may be looked after (pause for a moment). Lord hear us
  5. That people bereaved in 2022 may be comforted (pause for a moment). Lord hear us.
  6. That those who are lonely today may experience friendship and love (pause for a moment). Lord hear us.

The presider prays for the dead: For our friends who have fallen asleep in Christ (especially N and N), and for everyone in our parish who died since last Christmas, whom we remember now: (pause for quiet prayer) that the peace and joy of heaven may be theirs. Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider) O God, your love for your people is sure: hear our prayers and grant us your grace, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
