Brian Eyre is impressed with Cardinal Mario Grech’s interview in La Civilta Cattolica.
Brian Eyre writes:
Recently I read the interview with Cardinal Mario Grech in La Civilta Cattolica. I found it excellent…
Here are his words.
– It would be suicide if after the pandemic we returned to the same pastoral models that we practiced until now…
– Those who in this period of lockdown, in which the family did not have the opportunity to participate in the Eucharist, did not avail of this opportunity to help families develop their own proper potential, they have lost a golden opportunity…
– The great community of the church is made up of small churches who meet in homes… If the domestic church fails, the church cannot exist. If there is not a domestic church then the church has no future…
I see in his words a great challenge to form small communities that meet in peoples homes. These groups would be animated in the homes by the married couple of that house. Priests, celibate and married would help in the formation of these leaders but the gathering, the meeting, the celebration would be done by the couple of the house.
Back to the stations, sort of.
