Brian Glennon: ‘God comes to us disguised as our life.’ – Exploring Belief through Spiritual Direction

A recently published book called “God comes to us disguised as our life” is an introduction to the ministry of spiritual direction. This ministry is intended to challenge gently those of us who go through life unaware of our deepest longings and desires, those who run through life and are never really here; those who miss out on precious moments of mindfulness and don’t stop to find themselves in the presence of mystery. It is shot through with memorable quotes from mystics and prophets of all ages. Besides the chapters outlining what spiritual direction is, there are nine short real-life personal stories from individuals outlining their experience of being in companioning. The book is beautifully illustrated with drawings by the late Rowena Cunningham.

It will be on sale at the ACP AGM on Wed 6 Nov 2024is at €10.
