Message of solidarity with Tony Flannery arrives from Brazil

Dear Fr. Tony Flannery,
From Brazil, we, members of Kairós/Nós Também Somos Igreja, the Brazilian section of IMWAC, at our weekly meeting, held this morning, having reflected about recent restrictive measures taken against you by the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, so as to disrespect your right to follow the voice of your conscience: concerning the vote of obedience to hierarchy instances, we express our solidarity with you, asking ecclesiastic hierarchy to suspend its draconian measures, allowing you to return to your ministry. Our solidarity with you will be also represented by means of those who will organize a vigil, next Sunday, outside the official residence of the papal Nuncio, in Dublin.

DESDE O BRASIL, KAIRÓS/NÓS TAMBÉM SOMOS IGREJA MANIFESTA SOLIDARIEDADE AO PE. TONY FLANNERY
Prezado Pe. Tony Flannery,
