Annual General Meeting of the ACP

The Annual General Meeting of the ACP will take place in The Bounty, Dubarry Park, Athlone, Co Westmeath.on Tuesday, 07 November,  2017, from 2.00pm to 5.00pm
It is the home of Buccaneers Rugby Club. Directions to the AGM venue are below. The AGM of the ACP is always an interactive, welcoming and meaningful event.
The theme of the 2017 AGM is
‘Facing the Future – What We Need To Do Now.’
Our guest speaker is Dom Mark Patrick Hederman.
Solicitor Robert Dore has been working for the ACP since shortly after it was founded in 2010. He has helped a great many members through difficult situations. Robert will attend the meeting, and we will acknowledge the great work he has done for us, and make a presentation to him.
The AGM agenda will outline initiatives being pioneered by the ACP to enhance the wellbeing of priests in Ireland. The meeting prioritises listening to the voices of priests. Please know that you are warmly welcome to attend.
The ACP will forward you three potentially helpful resources:

  • A summary of the issues raised by priests during the 2017 Regional Meetings organised by the ACP;
  • An ‘Information Card’ for Priests, outlining your rights, along with pertinent advice to assist you in your interactions with Church leadership and structures;
  • An appeal to you to help the ACP to thrive.

Please join us at our AGM on 07 November. The ACP is at your service.

Take Exit 10 off the motorway and you must go left at the junction as it’s a left turn only. Proceed to the roundabout and take exit 4 which brings you back over the motorway. At the traffic lights take the first left and continue up that road for 200 yards and we are on your right hand side.
Travelling from Galway:
Take Exit 10 off the motorway and at the lights take a left turn and immediately take the next left and continue along that road for 200 yards and we are on your right hand side.
Travelling from Roscommon:
On arrival to Athlone (Ganleys Hardware) you need to join the motorway in the direction of Dublin and follow the directions above as if you’re travelling from Galway.
Travelling from Cavan:
On entering Athlone continue straight on in the direction of Athlone town centre. As you’re passing the new Super Valu store on your right hand side at the next set of traffic lights take the right turn and we are up that road 200 yards on your right hand side.

    Hi guys,the date of the meeting makes it difficult for those of us who work in rural isolated areas, servicing several churches, to attend, as november masses take place during the first nine days of the month. Somthing to consider for next year maybe?

    I agree with Ciaran Blake on the choice of week for the AGM. In an age when most resident priests attempt to be present with more than one Eucharistic Community in prayer; the fist week or so of November is a time when we especially spend time i ‘ndíl Chuimhne’ timpeall an ‘Bord Geal’ in at least 2 churches during the November Novena..
