Kiltegan Father, Gabriel Dolan, writes…

Please allow me to introduce myself to the ACP. I am Gabriel Dolan a Kiltegan Father who spent 42 years in Kenya and am now assisting in my home diocese of Clogher.

I am also a member of the Priests Against Genocide group a global network of 2,600 priests who emerged as a response to the Israeli Genocide in Gaza. There are currently 71 active members in the UK/Ireland group, who communicate by way of a WhatsApp group. We have been lobbying both the British and Irish governments as well as the Bishops Conferences on various issues related to the Genocide.

On September 22nd we had a one-day event in Rome that attracted almost 200 priests and included a two-hour march to the Vatican and the embassies of Palestine and Lebanon.

Below is the link for the event and I did a presentation with particular emphasis on the role of Allianz in both the GAA and also insurance for all our churches. Allianz have been identified by the UN as the major investor in Israeli bonds that are funding the genocide.

As well as sharing this information I am appealing to you to provide the link for those who might wish to join the network and find solidarity with brother priests in this noble and Christian pursuit. The message below is from Rima who is the organiser of the global movement.

Thanks in advance and don’t hesitate to contact me.

Good morning dear Fathers,

Thank you for coming to Rome from near and far to take part in what we hope was a special day for all of you. We hope we lived up to your expectations, and please excuse any hiccups along the way.

The objective of the network is to become unnecessary: for the genocide in Gaza, the apartheid in the West Bank and the ethnic cleansing in south Lebanon to end permanently. In the meantime, we need to keep growing the network so that we can continue to raise awareness, stop the normalization of this violence, and keep up the pressure. We count on you to reach out to priests you know around the world and invite them to join the network using this link: https://forms.gle/WH66Tzqa6KgKzyra8

In Christ
