Pope Leo appoints Archbishop Pawlowski as new Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland

  • Archbishop Martin welcomes appointment of Archbishop Pawlowski as Ireland’s new Nuncio

Today, the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV has appointed His Excellency Archbishop Jan Romeo Pawlowski, Titular Archbishop of Sejny, until now Apostolic Nuncio in Greece, as the new Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland. 

In response the appointment, the President of the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference and Primate of All Ireland, Archbishop Eamon Martin, said, “I very much welcome today’s news that Pope Leo has appointed Archbishop Jan Romeo Pawlowski as the new Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland.  I pray God’s blessings on Archbishop Pawlowski and look forward to meeting with him when he takes up his appointment in Ireland in the near future.”
