    Reply to A Rural Priest. If churching of women was not a purification ceremony but a thanksgiving , why weren't new fathers churched as well? I remember asking my mother not to go through with it

    I read with sadness that Fr. Tony Flannery has been silenced. He speaks for many people and they cannot all be silenced. I doubt that he can be effectively silenced. Truth is very sacred and complex.
