33rd Sunday Ordinary Time – Bidding Prayers

Introduction ( by the Presider): The Lord is at our side to support us, so we can present our needs with confidence.

  1. For all Christians, that they may be found ready, when the Saviour comes in glory (pause for silent prayer). Lord, hear us.
  2. For those who share the priesthood of Jesus, that they may be faithful ministers of God’s forgiveness (pause for silent prayer). Lord, hear us.
  3. For people who live in fear of death, that God’s consoling word may be their support (pause for silent prayer). Lord, hear us.
  4. For the bereaved, whether their loss was recent or many years ago, that in this month of remembrance they may find healing and peace (pause for silent prayer). Lord, hear us.
  5. For those who suffer, in body, mind or spirit, that God’s powerful presence may help them to stand firm (pause for silent prayer). Lord, hear us.
  6. For all who have died (especially N & N), that they may awake to everlasting life (pause for silent prayer). Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the presider) O Lord, you are our portion and cup, you support us all our days: hear the prayers we make for all your Church, though Christ our Lord. Amen.
