BIDDING PRAYERS for Sunday Mass

Introduction (by the Presider) Let us bring our prayers before God, who has pity on the weak.

  1. For a spirit of repentance among us, we pray ... (pause for a moment). Lord, hear us
  2. For peace in our world, we pray... (pause for a moment). Lord, hear us.
  3. For an end to fighting, we pray … (pause for a moment)). Lord hear us.
  4. For peace in our families, and forgiveness, we pray … (pause for a moment). Lord hear us
  5. For all children, as they wait for Christmas, we pray … (pause for a moment). Lord hear us.
  6. For the people who are in need, we pray … (pause for a moment). Lord hear us.

The presider prays for the dead: For those we have lost to death (especially N and N) …. (pause for a moment). Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider) O God, you save the poor when they cry to you, hear the prayers of all your people, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
