Mission Sunday (29th Sunday) — Bidding prayers

Introduction (by the presider): The Lord looks on those who revere him, on those who hope in his love: confident of God’s care, let us present our needs:

  1. For all the parishes and communities around the world who celebrate the Mass today — that those who attend may spread the Good News and draw others in  (pause for silent prayer) Lord, hear us.
  2. For missionaries and for those with whom they work— that we never forget to pray for them and support them (pause for silent prayer) Lord, hear us.
  3. For those who are suffering — that Lord who suffered may help those who are struggling (pause for silent prayer) Lord, hear us
  4. For young people and all who are still considering their role in life —  that many will answer the call to be mssionaries (pause for silent prayer). Lord, hear us.
  5. For our community gathered here — that the support we give to the Missions today may bring us all into closer communion with our brothers and sisters throughout the world (pause for quiet prayer). Lord, hear us.
  6. For those who have died — that they may follow the Lord into the kingdom of light (pause for quiet prayer). Lord, hear us

Conclusion (by the Presider): O Lord, our souls are wating for you, for we place all our hope in your help: Listen to our prayers and grant our needs, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
