BIDDING PRAYERS – Exam Mass

Priest:

My friends, we gather in prayer to ask God’s blessing on the students preparing for Junior, Leaving Cert and other exams. Let us ask for the gifts and graces they need to sustain them in the days ahead.

For all who are doing exams this year, that God may bless and help them

Lord, hear us

For those starting exams soon, that God’s Spirit may give them the gift of wisdom and understanding.

Lord, hear us

For all who are nervous or afraid, that they may know the peace of God in their moments of need.

Lord, hear us

For everyone who has worked to prepare students for these days of testing, that they may have the reward of their goodness.

Lord, hear us

For parents and families who support our students, that they may have the confidence of knowing that they have done their best.

Lord, hear us

For those who supervise and correct exams, that they may always be just and fair.

Lord, hear us

Priest:

Lord our God, send your Spirit of Truth upon these students and fill them with your wisdom and blessings. Give them your perfect love which casts out all fear.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen
