Bidding Prayers for 14 May (Sixth Sunday of Easter)

BIDDING PRAYERS for Sunday Mass on 14 May

Introduction (by the Presider) The works of God are tremendous, so with confidence we make our prayers known:

  1. That the Spirit may inspire Pope Francis and all our leaders in faith (pause and pray for this…). Lord, hear us.
  2. That God may give courage to Christians facing persecution (pause and pray for this… ). Lord, hear us.
  3. That those being confirmed this year may be guided by the Holy Spirit (pause and pray for this..). Lord hear us.
  4. That college students sitting exams may have divine help (pause and pray for this…). Lord hear us.
  5. That we may have the courage to explain our faith to people who are searching (pause and pray for this…). Lord hear us.
  6. That those who are sick may be healed according to God’s will (pause and pray for this…). Lord hear us.

The Presider prays for the dead:  That our brothers and sisters who have died (especially N & N), may be raised to life in the Spirit (pause and pray for this…).  Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider) God of love and compassion, you never reject our prayer: let your good Spirit guide us each day, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
